I have known Steve + Aleese for about 5 years. College students at SIUe, they have always been close friends and have always “secretly” had a crush on each other. I say “secretly” because everyone around them (myself included) knew how much they admired one another. My husband and I have gotten to know them individually and couldn’t have been more excited when Steve said he was going to ask Aleese to date him. Shortly after that, Steve picked out a ring that he wanted to give to Aleese when he proposed this past winter. And even more shortly after that, they tied the knot this past April in her hometown on the lake she grew up on, Lake Sara in Effingham, Illinois.
This wedding was very endearing to us, not only because of how much we know and love Steve + Aleese, but it was even more special when they asked me to be their photographer, but also my husband, Michael to officiate their wedding. We both couldn’t have been more honored. Steve + Aleese, we love you! We are so thankful we were a part of your wedding day!
